The group obtained an Investment License from the Zambia Development Agency in February, 2006 and started operations as Steelbase Limited in the second half of 2006. The Company imported state-of-the-art equipment from Japan and Taiwan for the manufacture of various types of quality roofing.
Being a part of the largest group in Africa focused on steel roofing, Safintra Zambia Limited has access to:

So far we have successfully launched the following brands in the Zambian markets:-
1. "DUMU-ZAS" the wonder malata:
This is a product for the masses. As against the ordinary galvanized iron corrugated sheets manufactured and sold on a large scale in Zambia, DUMU-ZAS the wonder malata has a Zincal coating to make it 4 times longer lasting than the ordinary corrugated sheets.
2. VERSATILE- the premium roofing.
This is the most beautiful roofing available in Zambia, shaped as tiles and available in nine different colours. Moreover it can be tailor made in the lengths required for a specific roof.
3. ZAMTILE:
This is the more economical version of Versatile as it comes in unpainted silvery finish, leaving the option with the owner to paint it at a later date or if preferred, retain the distinct silvery look for the life time.
In addition, the company also manufactures IBR roofing sheets both in painted and unpainted versions to suit the requirement of industries, churches, schools etc.
No other roofing manufacturer in Zambia offers such variety.
The company has also imported equipment to curve the roofing sheets in various shapes to enhance the aesthetics of the building.
Safintra Zambia Limited is going to launch some more innovative and value added products to bring better and better options to Zambian consumers.
The company currently has a work force of 30 regular employees and we are looking to expand our operations into the copperbelt.
Safintra has a country wide distribution network and consumers can buy our products in Chingola, Livingstone, Solwezi, Nakonde, Mpika, Choma, Kitwe, Ndola etc.
Safintra Zambia Limited has also taken the initiative through the Zambia Bureau of Standards as well as the Ministry of Commerce, Trade & Industry to institute Standards in steel roofing so as to protect the interests of the consumers.
